About This Role
Maintaining the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of industrial processing equipment is the core of this Millwright role on the afternoon shift. The successful candidate will inspect, maintain, and repair industrial equipment, with a focus on shredders and downstream machinery. This position suits a skilled and detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of mechanical systems and preventive maintenance practices.
Responsibilities
- Inspect the shredder and downstream equipment regularly to identify wear, damage, leaks, loose components, and abnormal operating conditions
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks including lubrication, adjustments, alignment, and component replacement to ensure optimal equipment performance
- Inspect and replace shredder hammers, pins, grates, liners, wear plates, and other wear components as needed
- Install, maintain, and repair bearings, housings, seals, shafts, and couplings to uphold machinery integrity
- Maintain and repair conveyors by inspecting belts, splices, pulleys, rollers, and other related components to prevent downtime
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues promptly to minimize production disruptions
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all maintenance and repair activities
- Document maintenance activities accurately for record keeping and future reference
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Millwright or in a similar industrial maintenance role involving mechanical systems
- Strong knowledge of mechanical components such as bearings, shafts, seals, couplings, and wear parts
- Experience with inspecting equipment for wear and damage and performing preventive maintenance
- Ability to read technical manuals and interpret schematics or diagrams related to machinery repair
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on safety and efficiency
Nice to have:
- Familiarity with conveyor systems and downstream processing equipment
- Relevant certifications or training in millwrighting or industrial maintenance

Important Details
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM
- Expected hours: 45.0 – 50.0 per week
