About This Role

This millwright role involves repairing and servicing processing and packaging equipment throughout the plant, ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of operations. It suits a maintenance team member who is adept at problem-solving, teamwork, and continuous improvement, and who can minimize downtime and optimize performance.

Responsibilities

• Repair and service processing and packaging equipment on a planned schedule
• Effectively troubleshoot equipment to minimize downtime, understand failure modes, and recommend solutions to eliminate equipment failures
• Install and modify machinery and equipment as needed
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to improve equipment reliability
• Pro-actively report equipment status and repair requirements to production and maintenance teams in a clear and positive manner
• Report daily work effort and failure root causes to facilitate reliability improvement
• Perform all duties as assigned

Requirements

• Basic welding and machining skills
• C of Q
• Industrial Mechanic
• Millwright (433A)
• Ability to work with minimal supervision while valuing team effort
• Dependability and comfortable with decision-making
• Good computer skills
• Self-starter who is willing to take the initiative
• Provide timely and high-quality work with exceptional attention to detail
• Solid people and communication skills
• Excellent organization and time management skills

Nice to have:

• Food manufacturing work experience

Important Details

• Schedule: Rotating 8-hour schedule, Monday to Friday, occasional weekends and overtime
• Work locations: 944 Highway 8, Stoney Creek, Ontario, Canada
