About the role
Our facility in Akron, OH is looking for a talented CNC Mill Turn Machinist to work during the 1st shift. You will be tasked with the full setup and operation of CNC mill turn equipment, the creation of medical implants and instruments, part deburring, and the rigorous inspection of components using specialized measurement tools.
Core Responsibilities
- Manage the independent operation of diverse CNC mill turn systems
- Execute all necessary machine setup procedures
- Carry out routine preventative maintenance tasks on equipment to ensure reliability
- Complete all essential paperwork, including job travelers and in-process documentation
- Maintain accurate records using the First Piece Log
- Perform necessary tool adjustments and replacements
- Execute seamless machine change-overs and modify tool sizes to meet production needs
- Configure tooling across all machinery located within your designated work area
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of hands-on experience in CNC machine operation
- Demonstrate a high level of proficiency in interpreting technical blueprints
- Apply advanced knowledge of GD&T standards to ensure quality
- Proven track record of successfully completing CNC machine setups
- Collaborate effectively with team members to support collective production goals
