Working carefully and keeping a tidy warehouse will fit well in the logistics team. This MIG Welder position is for a fabrication facility that builds components for CNC machines. The role involves performing high-quality MIG welding while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding on components according to production schedules and quality standards
- Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, work orders, and fabrication drawings
- Set up and operate welding equipment safely and efficiently
- Produce parts that meet dimensional and quality specifications
- Inspect welds and finished products for accuracy and defects
- Perform visual inspections and identify areas needing repair or rework
- Use measuring tools such as tape measures, squares, and gauges to verify specifications
- Grind, clean, and prepare metal surfaces before and after welding
- Maintain production goals while ensuring quality workmanship
- Complete production, quality, and safety documentation accurately
- Report equipment malfunctions, material shortages, and safety concerns to supervisors
- Assist with material handling and movement of fabricated products throughout the facility
Requirements
- Previous MIG welding experience required
- Ability to read blueprints, weld symbols, and technical drawings
- Experience using measuring tools and inspection equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
