Job Overview
Allenstown Community School (ACS) is seeking a hands-on and engaging math lab teacher for students in grades 5 and 6. All students have a math lab class daily where they focus on mastering grade level math skills and they receive an introduction to upcoming core content curriculum that they will learn in their other daily math class. This position works very closely with the math teacher to plan instruction that is complimentary to both classes and focuses on student needs and achievement.
Duties
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and educational standards.
- Utilize behavior management techniques to create a positive classroom atmosphere conducive to learning.
- Conduct assessments to evaluate student progress and provide feedback to students and parents.
- Administer NH state testing in grades 5 and 6
Qualifications
- Current NH teaching certification required.
- Experience with Eureka and/or Eureka Squared curriculum is helpful, but not required.
- Experience with lesson planning classroom management.
- Ability to create an inclusive environment that meets the diverse needs of students.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with students, parents, and staff.
