Job Summary

We are looking for a Merchandising Manager - Beauty who will drive the commercial performance of the Beauty category through effective merchandise planning, assortment management, inventory optimization, and market-driven merchandising strategies.

The role will work closely with Buying, Planning, Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations, and brand partners to ensure the Beauty portfolio delivers strong sales, profitability, and inventory productivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop annual and seasonal merchandising plans for the Beauty category.
• Translate sales targets and market insights into actionable assortment and merchandising plans.
• Manage product mix, SKU productivity, inventory levels, and product lifecycle.
• Analyze sales trends, gross margins, sell-through, stock cover, and inventory aging.
• Develop forecasts and recommend inventory requirements based on demand and seasonality.
• Identify underperforming SKUs and recommend corrective actions, including markdowns, promotions, or assortment rationalization.
• Identify opportunities for new Beauty products, brands, and category expansion.
• Monitor competitor activities, pricing, assortment, and market developments.
• Work with Buying and suppliers on product selection, launches, pricing, and promotional programs.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain and Operations to ensure product availability and efficient inventory flow.
• Partner with Marketing on Beauty campaigns, launches, and promotional activities.
• Prepare category performance reports and provide data-driven recommendations to management.
• Lead and develop the merchandising team and ensure delivery against department KPIs.
• Improve merchandising processes to enhance sales, margins, inventory turnover, and customer experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Retail Management, Merchandising, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of merchandising experience, with significant exposure to Beauty or consumer retail.
• At least 2 years of managerial experience.
• Strong experience in Beauty, Cosmetics, Skincare, Personal Care, or Lifestyle Retail.
• Strong knowledge of merchandise planning, assortment management, inventory control, and retail operations.
• Strong commercial and analytical capabilities with excellent Excel skills.
• Experience with ERP, merchandising, inventory, or retail management systems.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven retail environment.
