Job Description:
Support the Girl Scout movement through recruitment and membership growth at Girl Scouts San Diego!
We are seeking temporary part-time Membership Recruitment Assistants to boost participation in and awareness of Girl Scouting through engaging community events, presentations, and partnerships.
- Implement recruiting strategies in assigned areas to achieve the council's corporate girl and adult membership goals.
- Communicate with schools, business, and community organizations to establish new partnerships and foster existing ones.
- Assist in scheduling, promoting, and facilitating recruitment events, including speaking to community groups, leading presentations, and guiding activities to captivate potential new members.
- Collaborate with Membership Recruitment Specialists to start new troops through the generation of and follow-up on leads and referrals.
Employment details:
- Intended employment term: early July - late September, 2026
- Schedule: part-time, up to 20 hours weekly, some assigned evening and weekend shifts
Experience and Skills:
To be a good fit for this position, you will need:
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent years of related work experience.
- Experience in sales, membership recruiting, or other related areas.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish, preferred.
- Knowledge of community resources/contacts/services, preferred.
- Ability to cultivate, foster, maintain, and manage relationships and network effectively with diverse individuals, communities, and organizations.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to present information to various audiences and communities.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Valid drivers' license, proof of insurance, and access to reliable transportation, and ability to travel within San Diego County as needed to perform duties of the position.
