About the role
Job Number: 26-01238 Ready for your next career move? We are looking for a Member of Technical Staff for Product Engineering for our client in New York, NY. Our client is dedicated to fostering innovation, collaboration, and professional growth. If you're eager to contribute your skills, take on new challenges, and grow with a team that values your potential, this opportunity is for you.
Position Overview:
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.
- The client, an AI finance startup, is seeking a Member of Technical Staff for Product Engineering.
- As a Leader on the Engineering Team, won't just ship code —will own a product. Will think about the customer, prioritize features, execute against company objectives, and be accountable for pushing the product forward.
- LLMs allow a more general form of intelligence to be embedded directly within software, challenging conventional principles of product design.
- Don't yet have all the answers on what the "right " product experience looks like in this new paradigm, but know it goes far beyond a simple chatbot — just as mobile-first design was never simply a shrunken desktop experience.
- Product engineering here isn't just about building the best experience for today's users — it's about charting the path forward for how humans and software interact.
Responsibilities:
- Own the product vision across everything basis builds.
- Architect front-end and APIs to work seamlessly together.
- Develop strong opinions on the right ways to solve customer problems.
Qualifications:
- 3-10 years of experience building products from 0 1 as a Full-Stack Engineer.
- Prior experience as a Software Engineer at a fast-paced startup (Series A-D) or a quantitative hedge fund (e.g., Citadel, Two Sigma), with a track record of high ownership over projects.
- Ready to Client technical and cultural groundwork as we scale rapidly.
- Strong tenure (2+ years) at each prior company, with clear career progression.
- Undergraduate degree from a top-40 global university (Waterloo, Harvard, Oxford, Berkeley, etc.); a strong GPA is a plus for younger consultants.
- Deep expertise in at least one full-stack language, paired with strong product instincts and design sense.
- Comfortable adapting quickly and adopting the best tool for the job, even if it's new.
- Product management chops - comfortable working directly with clients and users to gather feedback and iterate.
- Prior experience with AI / LLM-integrated products is a strong plus.
- Intensity and excitement for tackling complex, ambiguous problems.
If hired, you will enjoy the following ECLARO Benefits:
- 401k Retirement Savings Plan administered by Merrill Lynch
- Commuter Check Pretax Commuter Benefits
- Eligibility to purchase Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance through ECLARO
