Medior/Senior Machine Learning Engineer

About This Role

This engineering role involves turning machine learning and generative AI models into production-ready products on Google Cloud Platform for a major Dutch airline. The work directly impacts critical processes like flight operations, workforce planning, meal planning, and delay optimization, ensuring the airline operates smoothly every day. You will join a multidisciplinary team to build reliable, scalable production systems and develop LLM and RAG solutions for real operational use.

Responsibilities

• Productionise ML models and integrate them into operational systems, end to end from data preparation to deployment, monitoring, and retraining
• Build and improve scalable ML infrastructure on GCP
• Develop and deploy LLM and RAG solutions for production use
• Apply strong engineering practices including testing, CI/CD, Git, and code reviews

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in ML Engineering, MLOps, or Software Development
• Strong Python and software engineering skills
• Proven experience deploying and maintaining ML models in production
• Experience with cloud-based ML (GCP preferred), Docker, SQL, REST APIs, and Terraform
• Hands-on experience with LLMs and RAG

Important Details

• Work format: hybrid, with 1 to 2 days per week at the office near Schiphol
