Medical Writer

About This Role

This role is for a passionate and agile medical writer who can create compelling content that drives action for patients and healthcare providers. The successful candidate will understand how to align business objectives with audience needs, working autonomously to produce clear and engaging content in various voices and tones.

Responsibilities

• Design and produce compelling copy that drives action for print and digital channels, ensuring alignment with key strategic objectives
• Present creative ideas and solutions with clarity, highlighting the strategy behind the work and explaining how the copy achieves expected results
• Manage full copy development from concept to completion, collaborating closely with account teams, design teams, and clients
• Ensure compliance with FDA and/or PAAB requirements, adding appropriate research references to claims and ensuring impeccable grammar and spelling throughout the copy
• Leverage brand guidelines to ensure consistency in tone, voice, and segmentation to deliver targeted customer experiences
• Revise copy based on feedback from clients, account managers, and the compliance team, while adhering to timeline requirements and ensuring high-quality deliverables meet deadlines
• Utilize generative AI platforms and tools, where appropriate, to optimize content creation processes
• Develop content focused on search engine optimization to improve visibility and ranking across digital channels

Requirements

• At least 3 years of medical writing expertise, with a proven track record of creating persuasive content for various healthcare audiences (healthcare providers, patients, caregivers, etc.)
• Creative portfolio highlighting expertise in print and digital channels, demonstrating the ability to create content that drives action and produces significant results
• In-depth experience in creating impactful campaigns and educational materials tailored for pharmaceutical brands
• Ability to work in a team, manage deadlines, and deliver high-quality work
• Hands-on experience creating content compliant with regulatory requirements for submission to the FDA
• English is required for this position, as the incumbent will regularly interact with stakeholders in Canada, the United States, and other countries within our global footprint, where English is the common language. Due to the significant volume of interactions with these English-speaking stakeholders, which is intrinsic to this position, a reorganization of company activities is not possible to avoid this requirement
• A high school diploma or equivalent, at minimum

• Good knowledge of PAAB guidelines for content development
