Medical Transcriptionist (MT)

Responsibilities

• Transcribe doctors’ dictations into accurate medical reports and clinical documents
• Prepare and format consultation notes, patient histories, discharge summaries, and other medical records
• Review and proofread documents to ensure accuracy in medical terminology, spelling, grammar, and punctuation
• Maintain the accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality of patient information
• Coordinate with doctors and healthcare professionals to clarify unclear dictations or medical information
• Ensure timely preparation and submission of medical documentation
• Maintain proper documentation and follow hospital policies and standard operating procedures
• Handle electronic medical records and other documentation systems as required

Requirements

• Graduate in any discipline
• Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical documentation
• Excellent attention to detail, time management, and proofreading skills

Nice to have:

• Relevant medical transcription training or certification
• Previous experience in medical transcription or healthcare documentation
