Medical Transcriptionist

About This Role

This role involves supporting healthcare providers by accurately documenting patient encounters in real-time. The Medical Scribe needs strong transcription skills, a solid understanding of medical terminology, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced medical environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the medical field and a desire to contribute to patient care.

Responsibilities

• Accurately document patient histories, examinations, and treatment plans during medical visits
• Assist healthcare providers by recording relevant information in electronic health records (EHR) systems
• Ensure all documentation complies with legal and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with medical staff to facilitate efficient patient flow and communication
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations
• Review and edit documentation for accuracy and completeness before finalizing records

Requirements

• Proficiency in transcription with excellent typing skills
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
• Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Nice to have:

• Previous experience in a medical office setting
