The Medical Transcriptionist ensures patient records are accurate and current, which supports quality patient care. This role suits a detail-oriented candidate with a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.

Responsibilities

• Transcribe dictated recordings from healthcare professionals into written documents with high accuracy
• Utilize knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology to ensure correct interpretation of medical data
• Review and edit transcriptions for clarity, grammar, and adherence to established guidelines
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Collaborate with medical staff to clarify any discrepancies or unclear dictations
• Manage and organize medical documents within the office system for easy retrieval

Requirements

• Proficient knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and anatomy is essential
• Strong typing skills with attention to detail and accuracy in transcribing documents
• Excellent listening skills to accurately capture dictated information
• Ability to work independently while managing time effectively to meet deadlines
