Medical Scribe

About This Role

This medical scribe role involves performing all clerical and information technology functions for a physician in a clinic setting. This includes operating the electronic health records and electronic dictation system, and anticipating physician needs to facilitate clinic flow. The role suits a discreet, tactful, and self-motivated individual with good judgment, organizational ability, initiative, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform all clerical and information technology functions for a physician in a clinic setting
• Operate the electronic health records and electronic dictation system
• Anticipate physician needs to facilitate the flow of the clinic
• Perform duties discreetly, tactfully, and modestly so as not to distract medical staff from patient care

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Minimum two years of medical scribe experience preferred
• Understanding of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, diagnostic procedures, pharmacology, and treatment assessments preferred
