Medical Scribe

About This Role

Working closely with a Nurse Practitioner, the Medical Scribe acts as a personal assistant, collecting and documenting patient information in real-time during visits. This role suits someone who can expertly document patient care and transcribe appointments in a fast-paced medical environment.

Responsibilities

• Take notes during patient visits and document them in the electronic health records system
• Learn about the medical process and use a team approach in patient supervision and documentation
• Work with a supervising Nurse Practitioner to complete and submit medical records
• Communicate with patients and supervise the Nurse Practitioner professionally

Requirements

• Ability to expertly document patient care and transcribe patient appointments
• Advanced computer skills
• Confidentiality and privacy of the patients
• Strong organization, multitasking and time management skills
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations effectively
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Good bedside manner and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Important Details

• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 6:00 pm, with some Saturdays available
