This night-shift post on the cardiac ward pairs patient care with mentoring new nurses. This vital role combines accurately documenting patient encounters and assisting healthcare providers with clinical tasks. Responsibilities

• Accurately transcribe detailed clinical notes during patient visits using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) or EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems, ensuring completeness and compliance with medical documentation standards
• Assist healthcare providers by preparing examination rooms, gathering patient histories, and supporting clinical procedures
• Manage and update patient records with precise information on medical history, symptoms, diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions while adhering to HIPAA privacy policies
• Achieve HIPAA compliance by safeguarding all protected health information (PHI) during documentation and communication processes
• Utilize medical terminology knowledge to facilitate clear communication between providers and patients; demonstrate understanding of physiology and anatomy relevant to patient care
• Support front-office tasks such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and maintaining organized medical records
• Demonstrate proficiency in typing speed and accuracy to ensure efficient documentation; perform medical transcription accurately in real-time or from recordings as needed
• Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless flow of patient care activities

Requirements

• Prior experience working in a medical office or clinical setting is highly preferred; familiarity with EMR/EHR systems is essential
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and anatomy enhances your ability to document accurately and support clinical workflows
• Experience with medical transcription, typing skills, and managing electronic health records will contribute to success in this role
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies is critical for maintaining patient trust and legal compliance
