About This Role
This role involves the timely and secure transportation of medical supplies, specimens, and equipment. The Medical Courier will navigate routes safely, handle sensitive materials, and provide excellent customer service to healthcare facilities, laboratories, and clinics, directly impacting patient care and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a box truck or similar vehicle with manual transmission to transport medical items across designated routes
- Load and unload shipments carefully, utilizing equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts when necessary, ensuring proper handling of fragile or hazardous materials
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and delivery records to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating professionally with healthcare staff and clients during pickups and drop-offs
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies to ensure secure transportation at all times
- Assist with warehouse tasks such as inventory management, stock movement, and storage organization when needed
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure optimal performance and report any maintenance issues promptly
Requirements
- Proven experience in delivery driving or courier services, preferably within a healthcare or warehouse environment
- Valid driver
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Ability to lift heavy items safely and perform manual labor involving moving supplies or equipment
- Knowledge of route driving best practices and adherence to safety regulations
- Prior experience with heavy lifting, moving supplies, or working in fast-paced delivery settings is advantageous
- Ability to pass a CORI background check
