About This Role
This part-time position is for a courier driver to transport medical specimens within a prearranged route in the Bay Area and surrounding cities. The role suits a self-starter who enjoys driving and being out of the office, serving the healthcare industry through customized medical transportation and logistics.
Responsibilities
- Drive personal vehicle to transport medical items, including specimens and sensitive documents
- Load and unload medical items from vehicle, ensuring specimens, medicines, equipment, or documents are properly maintained and safely secured based on Company requirements
- Deliver applicable items to correct destinations in a timely manner and based on routing specifications
- Interact with customers and co-workers in a courteous and professional manner
- Maintain accurate and legible delivery records and obtain customer signatures where applicable
- Communicate with dispatch and management regarding delays or delivery status changes
- Drive personal vehicle adhering to safety and efficiency guidelines
Requirements
- HIPAA compliant at all times
- Knowledge of locating customer locations utilizing a GPS or a map
- Skilled in reading, comprehending, interpreting, and executing simple instructions
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work under minimum supervision
- Ability to manage time and complete daily tasks
- Strong work ethic, integrity, and a high level of attention to details
- Command of written and spoken English
- Valid California Driver’s License
- Reliable transportation and good driving record

Physical Standards
- Ability to walk, bend, reach, climb, and lift 25 pounds or more
- Frequent driving and getting in and out of the vehicle

- Wearing appropriate attire and footwear that provides comfort and support while driving, bending, stooping, climbing, and lifting
- Ability to hear with specific vision abilities which include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Position is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions
