About This Role
Prime Prestige Laboratories LLC is seeking a dependable, motivated, and professional part-time Medical Courier Driver to join our growing medical transportation team. The Medical Courier Driver will be responsible for the safe, secure, and timely pickup and delivery of medical specimens, laboratory samples, medical supplies, and other healthcare-related materials between laboratories, medical offices, clinics, hospitals, and other designated facilities.
Responsibilities
- Complete assigned daily evening pickup and delivery routes in a timely and efficient manner.
- Transport medical specimens, laboratory samples, diagnostic materials, and medical supplies safely.
- Verify specimen labels, pickup information, and delivery destinations.
- Maintain proper chain-of-custody documentation when required.
- Follow HIPAA privacy requirements and applicable medical specimen transportation guidelines.
- Maintain appropriate specimen handling, packaging, and temperature-control procedures.
- Use GPS navigation and mobile applications to complete assigned routes.
- Maintain accurate pickup and delivery records.
- Report delays, damaged packages, missing specimens, or transportation concerns immediately.
- Communicate professionally with healthcare staff, laboratory personnel, and company management.
- Keep the vehicle clean, organized, and suitable for medical deliveries.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license.
- Reliable, insured vehicle.
- Acceptable driving record.
- Smartphone with GPS and internet access.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow safety procedures.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 25 pounds, with reasonable accommodations where applicable.
Nice to have:
- Previous medical courier or delivery experience.
- Familiarity with Atlanta and surrounding areas.
- Knowledge of HIPAA, specimen handling, and chain-of-custody procedures.
- Experience working with medical laboratories, hospitals, or healthcare facilities.
