Medical Coder

About This Role

This medical coder position supports a healthcare team by accurately reviewing and coding medical records. The role involves assigning appropriate diagnosis and procedure codes and ensuring documentation supports the services provided, working closely with clinical and administrative staff to maintain compliant and timely coding and billing information.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Completion of an accredited medical coding program preferred
• Current medical coding certification (such as CPC, CCS, or equivalent) preferred
• Previous hospital or healthcare coding experience preferred
• Knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
• Knowledge of applicable coding, billing, and regulatory requirements
