Medical Assistant/Receptionist

The Medical Assistant/Receptionist plays a key role in creating a positive experience for patients from the moment they arrive. This dynamic position supports both clinical and administrative operations by assisting with patient registration, maintaining accurate patient information, coordinating patient flow, and preparing patients for their visits. Responsibilities

• Assist with patient registration
• Collect and maintain accurate patient information
• Coordinate patient flow
• Prepare patients for their visits
• Work closely with providers and team members to ensure efficient daily operations
• Deliver patient-centered services
• Manage patient flow effectively and take vital signs
• Assist in a variety of treatments and medications as directed
• Record test results and maintain medical records
• Prepare exam room with supplies and equipment for treatments

Requirements

• High School Graduate or equivalent of five (5) years of Medical Assistant/PCT experience
• Completion of an accredited program for Medical Assistant/Patient Care Technician (PCT)
• Current CPR Certification
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)/Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)/Patient Care Technician (PCT)
• Knowledge of insurance verification, prior authorization process and patient registration procedures
• Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise professionalism when handling sensitive patient information
• Experience working with EPIC and/or other electronic medical record systems

Nice to have:

• A minimum of one or more years (1+) experience as a medical assistant
