Position Overview The Medical Assistant II (MA II) supports licensed practitioners by performing clinical duties to assist in patient care. They are fully competent in all aspects of the Medical Assistant I role, adhering to established policies, procedures, and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in providing patient care within clinical settings.
- Perform clinical tasks such as obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication management.
- Support healthcare team with delegated duties under supervision.
- Ensure compliance with policies and safety standards.
Qualifications & Skills
- Graduate from an accredited medical assisting program, registered medical assistant apprenticeship, or military medical training, or have at least one year of relevant clinical experience.
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 6 months healthcare and medical assistant experience.
- Preferred: National Medical Assistant Certification.
