About This Role
This internship offers hands-on experience across radio, programming, news, digital media, promotions, and sales within the Saginaw, Michigan market. It is designed for an energetic, curious, and motivated individual eager to learn the creative and business sides of the media industry by working alongside experienced professionals.
Responsibilities
- Assist with news, programming, digital, and social media content
- Engage with listeners and represent the stations at community events and promotions
- Support sales and marketing projects, client research, presentations, and campaigns
- Shadow team members across programming, sales, and other station departments
- Learn station procedures, technology, and day-to-day operations
- Take on additional projects and responsibilities as assigned
Requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Energetic, outgoing personality and a willingness to interact with people
- Interest in broadcasting, journalism, communications, marketing, advertising, business, digital media, or sales
- Creative, organized, dependable, and eager to learn
- Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work well as part of a team
- Professional attitude and strong work ethic
Important Details
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, approximately 4-6 hours per day
