About the role

Brunel Energy is recruiting a Mechanical Planner to work with a major oil and gas company on a long-term contract in Sabine Pass, TX.

Responsibilities:

  • Planning of maintenance & reliability programs for the asset.
  • Creates and maintains project and outage plans utilizing planning software, and plans and prioritizes work for fast and efficient response, effective backlog maintenance and cost control.
  • Creates job packs, including all relevant information for job plans; coordinates the development of work orders and schedules with Operations and Maintenance personnel; ensures proper documentation for work orders is in place.
  • Develops and completes weekly, monthly, quarterly, and look-ahead schedules for expense and upgrade work by working closely with functional supervisors, engineering and technicians; manages the dispatching of work and availability of manpower in coordination with supervision.
  • Provides technical support for personnel within the CMMS modules; identifies material requirements and interfaces with vendor and/or supply chain as needed.
  • Assists with development of KPI’s and produces reports on schedule compliance, with emphasis in maintenance/inspection regulatory compliance, including analysis of deviations, variations, and trends with graphical representations.
  • Requests changes to procedures as required and assists in the writing of procedures as required.
  • Recommends and implements training to enhance effectiveness of work activities; assists on budget development as required.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED. Technical Degree or similar is a plus.
  • 5+ years of maintenance experience utilizing SAP in the Oil and Gas, or petrochemical facilities; heavy working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in Planning, Scheduling and Execution processes, procedures, and best practices; scheduling software definition and build experience is a plus.
  • Comprehensive understanding of all aspects related to planning for packaged equipment and rotating machinery, including steam turbines, gas turbines, compressors, generators, motors, and their associated auxiliary systems.
  • Experience with scaffolding, painting, insulating, heavy equipment operation-rigging/lifting crafts, welding, fabrication, machining work estimation and planning.
  • Experience with project planning software such as MS Project or Primavera P6 is a plus; strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience working in a PHMSA regulated Pipeline facility preferred; experience with gas compression and metering equipment preferred.
  • Prometheus experience is preferred.

Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position:

  • Maintain or ability to maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card in good standing status
  • State Issued Current and Valid Driver’s License
