About the role
Job Summary
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support product standardization initiatives, mechanical component design, and engineering improvements. The ideal candidate will provide engineering support for field issues, develop design solutions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product reliability, cost, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional projects involving engineering, operations, supply chain, and commercial teams
- Analyze existing product offerings to identify opportunities for standardization and simplification
- Support engineering changes through design, documentation, testing, and implementation
- Evaluate field turnbacks and develop engineering solutions for elevator components
- Design and model mechanical components using Creo or other 3D CAD tools
- Perform cost analysis, technical evaluations, and product improvement activities
- Create and maintain engineering documentation and change control records
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are production-ready
- Communicate technical solutions to internal teams and stakeholders
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Strong mechanical design and engineering fundamentals.
- Experience with 3D CAD modeling (Creo preferred).
- Knowledge of sheet metal design and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with technical documentation and engineering change processes.
- Familiarity with PDM/PLM systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
- Experience with testing, measurement equipment, or hands-on manufacturing is preferred.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
