Mechanic Designer

About This Role

This Mechanic Designer role involves developing industrial equipment, designing production stations, and special machines. The position requires knowledge of industrial processes and supporting assembly and tuning teams, as well as producing technical deliverables. The candidate will provide on-site expertise to clients and contribute to knowledge capitalization at project end.

Responsibilities

• Support and conduct consultations with prototype suppliers
• Structure the nomenclature in the PLM
• Ensure the consistency of dimensional control requested from parts suppliers
• Support the workshop during the mechanical assembly phase
• Support the tuning pilot during the mechanical tuning phase
• Update 2D plans and diagrams based on corrections made during assembly and tuning
• Support the tuning pilot on mechanical subjects at the client site
• Update 2D plans and diagrams based on corrections made during tuning
• Conduct a review to capitalize on feedback for future projects

Requirements

• Knowledge of industrial processes including welding (laser, brazing, etc.), 2D and 3D forming, stamping, machining, shrink-fitting / press-fitting
• Knowledge of special machines including actuators, guiding, conveyors, and frames
