Industrial Automation Technician-I Automation Technicians will be responsible to maintain, troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance to the facilities Automation Systems consisting of:
Dematic Automated Storage and Retrieval Machines
Chain Driven Live Roller Conveyors
Drag-Chain Conveyors
Thru/In-Frame Drag-Chain Transfers
Vertical Reciprocating Conveyors
Schaefer Automated Case Pick and Automated Tray Storage Systems
KUKA Robotics
Responsibilities:
- To maintain continuous system operation by adjusting, repairing, replacing, or modifying system components (i.e. gearbox exchanges, alignment of structural parts, root cause failure analysis)
- To troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems and components and return to serviceability
- To perform scheduled preventive maintenance actions on all subsystems and related components
- To assist other maintenance team members with duties/repairs of equipment consistent with level of experience and training
Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of Industrial Power 3 Phase 480V and industry accepted electrical safety practices for testing energized circuits.
- General understanding of PLC and VFD controlled machinery.
- Efficient in maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical components.
- Able to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical diagrams including complex automated system drawings.
- Proper use of power tools and measuring devices--must provide all basic hand tools required to maintain automated equipment.
- Must be able to work at heights up to 110 ft.
- Able to access assets in the structure using ladders (ladder weight limit of 300 lbs)
- Basic computer knowledge of Microsoft Windows based operating systems.
- Experience welding with Stick, MIG, or TIG a plus.
- Knowledge of ABB/SEW drive technology a plus.
- Experience with various Machine Shop equipment a plus
Experience/Education:
- High School Diploma required, 2 year degree or trade school certification preferred
- 2 years minimum experience preferred
Physical Abilities:
- Constant- seeing, hearing, sitting
- Frequent- standing, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, twisting, reaching, gripping of items 20 lbs. and under
- Occasional- carrying and lifting items over 60lbs.
