About the role
Seeking a Maternal & Fetal Medicine specialist for locum coverage in a facility with a Level III NICU. Responsibilities Include
- Reviewing and rounding on inpatient maternal-fetal medicine patients with residents
- Providing inpatient and phone consultations, with in-person evaluations as needed
- Supervising residents in high-risk OB clinics
- Interpreting ultrasounds and managing related consults
- Performing procedures such as amniocentesis, cerclage, and external cephalic version
- Potentially assisting with outpatient ultrasound services and high-risk resident clinics
Qualifications And Skills
- Proficiency in amniocentesis, cerclage (including rescue), and ECV procedures
- Preferred experience with chorionic villus sampling (CVS)
- Ability to interpret ultrasounds and support high- and low-risk obstetric cases
- Minimal call responsibilities with very limited callback frequency
