Role Overview
This position is for a Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialist providing office and inpatient care. The provider will cover high-risk pregnancies, perform procedures such as amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling, and manage complex maternal and fetal conditions. The role involves rotating between two clinic sites, with some phone consults at a third site, and includes weekend 24-hour call coverage.
Responsibilities
- Manage high-risk pregnancies and perform specialized procedures
- Provide comprehensive maternal-fetal care in a clinical and hospital setting
- Collaborate with support staff including RNs, sonographers, and genetic counselors
- Utilize EMRs like EPIC and Viewpoint for documentation
- Participate in weekend call duties
Qualifications & Skills
- Board Certified/Eligible in Maternal-Fetal Medicine
- Fellowship completed in MFM
- VA license and BLS certification required
- AIUM certification preferred
- Ability to offer 1-2 weeks per month ongoing availability
- Experience with high-risk obstetrics and relevant procedures
