Materials Handler

Duties

• Load/unload shipments from trucks, rail cars, and other material conveyances.
• Operate warehouse tractors, light duty trucks, tugs and other general purpose vehicles.
• Receipts and reviews documents for incoming material, consignee, piece count, damage, and annotate all discrepancies on documentation.
• Work with hazardous materials, loading/unloading items for storage or follow on movement.

This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: Ability to perform common Material Handler tasks including loading and unloading shipments from trucks and rail cars utilizing fork lifts and manual and mechanized pallet jacks; and documenting and verifying quality of materials and equipment.
