Material Handler

About This Role

This position is for a Material Handler on the night crew, responsible for staging finished goods and managing inbound and outbound freight. The role involves operating material handling equipment and utilizing automated systems for various warehouse tasks.

Responsibilities

• Stage finished goods
• Load outbound freight
• Unload inbound freight
• Operate standard Material Handling Equipment (MHE)
• Utilize automated equipment and systems to scan, route, bar code, access materials, fill item requisitions, stow items, and process receipts
• Operate equipment to move, load, unload, stack and unstack rolls and pallets
• Handle receipt, storage, and shipment of various stock in accordance with established procedures
• Bale glued cartons from waste tubs
• Remove bales and sort by board type
• Keep the baler area clean

Requirements

• Thorough understanding of warehouse procedures
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and operating manuals
• Ability to obtain and maintain proficiency to operate MHE license
