Material Handler

About This Role

Moving and organizing products and materials within a warehouse or plant is the core of this role, ensuring proper handling and documentation. The Material Handler operates various equipment to load, unload, and store goods, maintaining inventory accuracy and adhering to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Organize, secure, and move products and materials by operating equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and cranes
• Unload products and materials from trailers and store them in an organized fashion in the proper areas of the warehouse/plant
• Load finished goods into trailers according to proper standards, procedures, and customer order directions
• Ensure proper procedures and processes are followed
• Move products carefully to avoid damage
• Inspect and document quality and quantity of materials received and shipped
• Be responsible for Bill of Materials (BOMs)
• Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly cycle counts, record data, and request reorders/restocks materials when needed
• Appropriately count and label all stock and inventory
• Properly maintain and operate equipment
• Strictly adhere to safety guidelines

Requirements

• Good reflexes
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to reach within hands and arms length, bend and stoop, walk, and stand consistently for long periods of time
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to withstand manufacturing working conditions
• HS Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend English
• Certified on operating equipment
