Material Handler

About This Role

Moving, staging, and transporting materials within the warehouse is the core of this role, which involves safely operating forklifts and ensuring accurate order fulfillment. This position suits a detail-oriented individual who can maintain an organized work area and collaborate effectively with a team.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts to complete assigned tasks including loading and unloading, moving, staging, pulling orders, and transporting material
• Band, wrap, and tape product as needed
• Maintain the condition of the warehouse work area, ensuring it is free of trash, products are in correct locations and organized, and floors are swept
• Work cooperatively and productively with supervisors and other employees to complete required workload
• Provide and inspire outstanding service to customers by maintaining attention to detail, accuracy, quality, and completing assigned work in a timely manner
• Assist with inventory variances, order accuracy, and track and trace issues
• Read and understand tickets and the various codes for products
• Accurately pull daily orders

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of one (1) year warehouse distribution experience
• Must have basic math and analytical skills

Nice to have:

• Prior lumber experience
• Engineered Lumber experience
• Forklift experience and forklift certification
