Material Handler

About This Role

A Material Handler ensures all material movements, including issues, receipts, and transfers, are accurately documented and supported by corresponding inventory transactions. This role requires maintaining a forklift certification and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Look up inventory-related information in the computer
• Issue, receive, and transfer materials to and from other buildings
• Enter inventory transactions into the computer (manual or through scanner) for all issue, receipt, and transfer material movements
• Perform inventory cycle counts
• Operate a forklift truck in a safe manner, following all company policies and regulations
• Load and unload containers or trailers
• Perform training on general warehouse duties and housekeeping
• Be available to work any shift, overtime, and weekends
• Other essential duties may be assigned

Requirements

• Minimum 1-year forklift operating experience
• Company ERP system, SAP preferred
• Basic PC skills including email and Microsoft Office products
• Valid California Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record
• Ability to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 50 lbs.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalency
• English reading and verbal communication skills sufficient to read, understand, and communicate company operating procedures and policies
• Math proficiency equal to or greater than required for the position applied
• Availability to work the shift specified by the position and flexibility for potential overtime on weekends/holidays

Security Clearance

• Certain positions may require the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Clearance
