About This Role
This Master Electrician role involves diagnosing, repairing, and installing residential electrical systems while providing exceptional customer service and guiding customers to informed solutions. The position is with a well-known home services company in New Orleans.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair residential electrical systems
- Perform residential electrical installations, repairs, upgrades, and panel installations
- Ensure all electrical work is completed safely, professionally, and in accordance with applicable codes and regulations
- Serve as a knowledgeable electrical resource for customers, technicians, and management
- Educate customers on electrical issues and recommend appropriate solutions
- Accurately bid, sell, and negotiate residential electrical jobs
- Read and interpret electrical plans and wiring schematics
- Maintain clear communication with dispatch, managers, customers, and installation teams
- Complete all required paperwork and documentation accurately and timely
- Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked company vehicle
- Keep inventory up to date and communicate equipment or material needs
- Maintain a professional appearance and deliver an exceptional customer experience
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and applicable electrical codes
Requirements
- Valid and current Master Electrician License required
- Minimum of 5 years of residential electrical experience
- Valid Driver's License
- Strong understanding of applicable electrical codes, regulations, and permitting requirements
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Clean driving record and professional appearance
- Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development
