Marriage and Family Therapist

About This Role

This counseling role provides compassionate, evidence-based mental health care to individuals, families, and groups. The therapist will implement treatment plans and therapeutic interventions, playing a crucial role in supporting clients facing emotional and mental health challenges.

Responsibilities

• Conduct therapy sessions (RMHCIs must be under the supervision of licensed mental health professionals)
• Create timely treatment plans and progress notes, and all other required documentation to facilitate effective treatment
• Conduct diagnostic evaluations to assess mental health conditions and develop appropriate treatment plans
• Provide mental health counseling to individuals with diverse backgrounds and needs
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other medical professionals to gain a holistic understanding of clients' needs

Requirements

• Strong background in psychotherapy techniques and interventions
• Proficient in trauma-informed approaches
• Able to integrate Christian faith into evidence-based treatment for clients requesting faith-based counseling
• Ability to conduct diagnostic evaluations using standardized assessment tools
• Understanding of ICD-9 coding system for accurate documentation purposes
• Excellent communication skills for effective mental health counseling
