About The Role We are looking for a solutions-driven Marketplace & Planning Analyst - Operations Specialist to oversee supply and demand & to optimize and strategically propose innovation for our ride-hailing operations in Romania.

We’re looking for an entrepreneurial, analytically sharp Operations Specialist to join our Rides Marketplace & Planning team in Romania. This is not a support role - you will own end-to-end the health of our ride-hailing marketplace across all Romanian cities, from diagnosing what’s broken to making the call on how to fix it.

You will work closely with the Operations Manager and rest of the leadership team including the General Manager, and cross-functional teams (Marketing, PR, Public Policy, CS), as well as analysts and marketplace managers from HQ and other countries. The right answer here isn’t always obvious - you’ll need to form a view, make a call, and adjust on the go. If ownership comes naturally to you, you’ll fit right in.

Main Tasks And Responsibilities

• Owning the marketplace across all Romanian cities - monitor supply and demand dynamics, identify imbalances, and act on them through pricing adjustments, investment decisions, or creative cross-functional initiatives.
• Driving competitive intelligence and market share analysis - track competitor activity, benchmark performance, and develop strategies to grow and defend market position.
• Collaborating weekly with HQ analysts to review market health, surface data-driven insights, and jointly make decisions on pricing changes and investment allocation to maximise conversion rates and reach the targets.
• Planning cycles - own target-setting for Romania, track OKR progress, and develop strategies to ensure business objectives are met.
• Building and maintaining dashboards and performance reports covering key marketplace metrics (rides volume, supply availability, conversion rate, GMV, and more), and translate data into clear, actionable recommendations for stakeholders.
• Working cross-functionally with Marketing, PR, Public Policy, and Customer Support to address ad-hoc market needs and deliver on shared projects.

About You

• You have 1-2+ years of experience in a role that combined analytical rigour with operational pace - this could be consulting, operations, a startup, analytics, or your own entrepreneurial venture. What matters most is that you’ve had to think for yourself, move fast, and own outcomes.
• You have a data-driven mindset and know how to translate numbers into decisions, not just reports. You approach problems methodically and are comfortable working with large or ambiguous datasets.
• You are skilled in data analysis tools such as Excel or Google Sheets; experience with BI tools like Looker or Tableau is a plus.
• You take initiative and don’t wait for a playbook. You pick up a problem, form a hypothesis, and push it through to resolution.
• You are a strong communicator in both English and Romanian, and comfortable working with stakeholders at different levels - from local teams to senior leadership and international counterparts.
• Some financial literacy is a plus - familiarity with concepts such as unit economics, P&L, or financial reporting will help you thrive in this role, though it is not a hard requirement.
