About The Role The School Marketing Specialist is a full-time, non-exempt position that operates in a hybrid work environment. This role is instrumental in supporting the creation and execution of marketing campaigns for Boston Ballet School (BBS), aiming to meet enrollment and revenue targets. The specialist will manage a variety of marketing activities, including campaign development, email communications, print and out-of-home advertising, and website content updates. Serving over 5,000 students across multiple locations and generating $10 million annually, BBS offers a diverse and enriching environment for this role. The ideal candidate will be passionate about storytelling and creative marketing, with a strong focus on audience engagement and brand promotion.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, education, or business administration
- Two to three years of professional marketing experience
- Proficiency in project management tools such as Teamwork
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with digital marketing, email campaigns, and social media platforms
- Knowledge of website content management systems (CMS) and analytics tools
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams
- Familiarity with E-commerce, print, digital, and out-of-home marketing channels
- Strong customer service orientation
- Ability to travel to various locations as needed
- Fluency in Spanish is a plus
- Knowledge of dance, ballet, or performing arts is advantageous but not required
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of marketing campaigns, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with organizational goals
- Manage campaign components through all stages, including planning, content creation, approval, and deployment
- Maintain and update complex marketing calendars to coordinate content across multiple channels and audiences
- Draft and coordinate print and out-of-home advertising materials in collaboration with internal teams
- Contribute creative storytelling to central copy documents, ensuring messaging resonates with diverse audiences
- Analyze campaign performance data, prepare wrap-up reports, and provide insights to optimize future strategies
- Ensure consistent use of marketing tools and best practices in collaboration with the marketing team
- Draft, review, and deploy email communications for retention and acquisition efforts, in consultation with relevant teams
- Monitor email campaign performance and recommend improvements based on analytics
- Manage website content updates to enhance user engagement and support enrollment goals
- Stay informed about industry trends and data to optimize digital content and user experience
- Support BBS initiatives by attending meetings, supporting events, and traveling to various locations as required
- Participate in key organizational events such as open houses and performances to promote BBS programs
