Marketing Specialist

Duties

In the Marketing Department, incumbent compiles and writes entertainment listings for MWR ensuring web-based and traditional media approaches to reach target market. Responsible for planning and executing all aspects of social media marketing campaigns (i.e., Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, LinkedIn, Bebo, etc.) for Family and MWR programs. Studies customer requirements, translates into marketing strategies, designs and recommends format changes and file and directory structures. Ensures that all content displayed is fully accessible and conforms to higher level and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience in marketing and/or advertising.
• Knowledge of the World Wide Web (WWW) system and private enterprise technological processes for developing and utilizing social networking for e-commerce purposes.
• Must possess organizational skills and be able to work quickly in an e-commerce environment.
• Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently.
• Must be able to work under pressure to meet project deadlines and specific tasks.
• Must be self-motivated and have strong problem solving skills.
• Must have strong communication skills.

Applicants who possess the following Highly Preferred Criteria will be rated among the highly preferred:
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or related field such as Communication is preferred but not required. Strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple time-sensitive tasks at once, and experience in advertising copy writing and native content creation.
