About This Role
The Maritime Recruiter is responsible for attracting maritime talent and developing recruitment activities for an international maritime service provider. This role involves managing the full recruitment process for seafarers and implementing effective recruitment strategies.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, select, and guide seafarers for various positions on board ships
- Develop, implement, and execute a recruitment strategy focused on the national and international maritime labor market
- Build and maintain a talent pool of qualified candidates
- Publish and manage vacancies via LinkedIn, job sites, social media, and other relevant recruitment channels
- Actively source candidates via LinkedIn Recruiter, databases, networks, and other sourcing tools
- Conduct job interviews and assess qualifications, certificates, and work experience
- Maintain contact with candidates throughout the entire recruitment and onboarding process
- Build relationships with maritime educational institutions, training centers, crewing agencies, and other strategic partners
- Strengthen the employer branding of Lowland Marine & Offshore within the maritime sector
- Monitor recruitment results, analyze labor market developments, and identify new recruitment opportunities
- Advise management on recruitment issues, personnel planning, and labor market trends
- Represent the organization during career fairs, open days, and maritime events
Requirements
- Practical and professional attitude, accustomed to working independently in a dynamic environment
- Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English; another language is a plus
- Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter and modern recruitment and sourcing techniques
- Strong organizational skills and a proactive attitude
- Commercial insight and the ability to build lasting relationships
- Affinity with the international maritime labor market is a plus
