ABOUT JOB:
SMC Consulting Engineer is looking for a Senior Marine and Coastal Engineer to join our current permanent team in Bangkok and support our company in delivering project assignments in Thailand and Asia-Pacific. Our projects involve port planning, preliminary to detailed design and construction supervision for Oil & Gas marine terminals, container terminals, general cargo ports, dredging and reclamation, marine structures such as piled jetties, quay walls, breakwaters, shore protection, and onshore related infrastructures such as container yards (buildings, heavy duty pavement, utilities…).
JOB DESCRIPTION:

Project management of marine and coastal projects of various sizes.

Be the Technical Lead of the project: participate to the preparation of Project’s deliverables; monitor, coordinate and check the design done by more junior engineers in the team; coordinate and check the drawings prepared by the CAD team; …

Be the focal point of contact for our client for his project: lead progress meetings, manage resources in liaison with the Company Director, ensure client’s satisfaction and project delivery on time and on budget.

Occasional missions on site for meetings / inspection / supervision of works

Assist the Company in Business Development, from market intelligence, relationships with strategic Client, early identification of tenders, preparation of technical and commercial proposals and contract negotiations, in coordination with the Company Director.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Master’s degree in civil engineering
- 10 minimum to 15+ years of experience
- Strong background and varied experience in marine or coastal projects, for an engineering and consultancy firm
- Very good English, both spoken and written
- Experience in Thailand and in other Asian countries
