About the role

Set up, operate and maintain Wire-EDM Machines. Perform simple troubleshooting of machines, read and follow established procedures and work instructions, and perform risk assessment and take corrective actions as well as preventive measures.

Key responsibilities

  • Set up, operate and maintain Wire-EDM Machines
  • Perform simple troubleshooting of machines
  • Read and follow established procedures and work instructions
  • Perform risk assessment and take corrective actions as well as preventive measures
  • Maintain day to day 6S lean activities to create a safe work environment
  • Work cross functional to support the various manufacturing processes
  • Participate in the EH&S programs and takes personal responsibility to ensure safety adherence
  • Support the continuous improvement programs, CORE (Customer Oriented Results & Excellence) activities and additional tasks assigned by the supervisor

About you

  • NITEC in Precision, Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • 2 years of relevant experience in EDM / CMM machine Operation and Maintenance experience
  • 2 years of relevant experience in Manufacturing, Precision Engineering or Machining
  • Comfortable with hands-on work to operate with the tools and equipment
  • Ability to understand basic technical instructions and standard operation procedures (SOP)
  • Meticulous with an eye for details and adopts a hands-on approach
  • Willing to work permanent night shift and overtime on need basis
  • EDM machining skills and knowledge (preferred)
  • Relevant experience in operating CMM measurement machines (preferred)
  • Relevant aerospace, manufacturing or precision engineering experience (preferred)
