Manufacturing Technician

About This Role

Operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing high-speed manufacturing and packaging equipment is the core of this role. It suits a candidate with a passion for maintenance and troubleshooting in a fast-paced environment, who is ready for a challenging new role.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair high-speed, highly technical computer-controlled manufacturing and packaging equipment
• Be responsible for logistical module management associated with daily operation of the equipment
• Perform quality checks and record them in automated computer system programs
• Interpret statistical data to make quality and productivity decisions
• Maintain the work area in accordance with all sanitation and housekeeping standards
• Operate forklifts
• Communicate maintenance and quality activities by using complex computer reporting systems

Requirements

• One to three years of industrial experience required, preferably in a high-speed manufacturing or packaging environment
• Good mechanical aptitude
• 3 years of mechanical experience or training
• Basic knowledge of equipment and machinery
• Willingness and ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to apply new work methods effectively
• Proven troubleshooting skills
• Superior work history, including good attendance

• Forklift operating experience

Important Details

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts (6:00am-6:00pm and 6:00pm-6:00am); rotate day and night shift every 4 weeks; 3 shifts on, 4 shifts off then 4 shifts on, 3 shifts off; every other month there are 6 shifts off in a row
• Quarterly bonus eligible based on KPIs
• Double time for working on a holiday + holiday pay (a regular day's pay)
