Manufacturing Technician

About This Role

This manufacturing technician role involves working with electronic, optical, and mechanical assemblies on the second shift. The position requires strong attention to detail, adherence to safety regulations, and a commitment to continuous process improvement within a Lean manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Work with electronic, optical, and mechanical assemblies
• Perform computer activities with provided programs
• Accurately follow required rework procedures
• Document repairs proficiently
• Report deviations from standard to appropriate resources for review, instruction, and authorization, and obtain quality inspection when appropriate
• Work safely to prevent injuries and follow all safety regulations
• Support Lean manufacturing efforts through continuous process improvement
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety procedures
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Cultivate a culture that assures effective cross-functional teamwork
• Perform job duties in a manner that complies with environmental, health, and safety regulations, policies, and procedures
• Demonstrate ethical and professional behavior in accordance with company values
• Be consistently at work and on time
• Multi-task effectively
• Follow all safety measures
• Ensure compliance with company and production department policies and procedures

Requirements

• 2+ years related experience in a repair field
• Computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Soldering experience
• High School diploma or GED
