Manufacturing Engineer

About This Role

This manufacturing engineering role involves collaborating to develop and implement processes, procedures, and production layouts for various assemblies and equipment. It focuses on driving the adoption of new technologies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance quality, while also optimizing manufacturing processes through 3D model data and digital work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform in a collaborative environment to develop and implement manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, fabrication, and material handling
• Drive adoption of new technologies and processes (automation, robotics, computer aided manufacturing software, etc.) to achieve greater efficiency, cost reduction and quality improvement
• Create and analyze 3D based model data environment to optimize manufacturing process and digital work instructions
• Leverage understanding of materials and automatic processes to define operations procedures and build sequences to drive operational excellence
• Evaluate performance (including IoT devices, etc.) of equipment and tools to verify their efficiency
• Investigate and initiate corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure operational excellence
• Leverage factory data to develop statistical process control approaches and integrate reporting and data analytics solutions for continuous improvement
• Provide input to product design regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 or more years of related experience and may have a post-secondary degree or training in a related discipline
• Proficient in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
• Knowledge of Manufacturing ERP systems
• Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings
• Manufacturing engineering floor experience
• Knowledgeable of general manufacturing / integration processes
• Must be a United States citizen
