Mandarin Translator

We are seeking a skilled Mandarin Translator to join PT Natus International Trading in Bandung, Jawa Barat. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in facilitating communication between our Indonesian and Mandarin-speaking people. As a Mandarin Translator, you will be instrumental in ensuring accurate and clear translation of documents, correspondence, and communications.

Key responsibilities

1. Translating business documents, emails, and correspondence from Mandarin to Indonesian and vice versa with accuracy and cultural sensitivity
2. Providing real-time interpretation during line tour in production lines, meetings and business discussions between Indonesian and Mandarin-speaking parties
3. Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism whilst handling sensitive business communications
4. Proofreading and editing translated materials to ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to company terminology and style guidelines

What we're looking for

1. Fluency in both Mandarin Chinese and Indonesian, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages (English communication skills are an advantage)
2. Proven experience as a translator or interpreter, ideally in manufacturing industry
3. Strong understanding of business terminology and practices in both Indonesian and Chinese contexts
4. Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy whilst working under tight deadlines
5. Professional demeanour and cultural awareness
6. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
7. A certification in translation or interpretation, or formal qualifications in Mandarin Chinese and Indonesian language studies (preferred but not essential)
8. Experience in administrative support or office operations in Construction or Technical Projects is preferred
