About This Role

Mandarin Interpreters provide accurate, real-time interpretation between Mandarin and English for clients in medical, legal, and business contexts. This role involves handling scheduled and on-demand remote calls, conveying messages faithfully in both languages, and maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate, real-time interpretation between Mandarin and English for clients across medical, legal, and business contexts
• Handle scheduled and on-demand remote calls

• Clarify terminology
• Consult reference materials as needed
• Document key interaction details in line with client and company procedures
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to improve service quality
• Participate in training
• Stay current with relevant terminology and industry practices

Requirements

• Strong Mandarin and English language proficiency, including excellent speaking, listening, and reading skills
• Demonstrated experience in consecutive or simultaneous interpretation, preferably in medical, legal, or business environments
• Ability to handle virtual call center tools, basic computer applications, and stable remote work setups
• High level of professionalism, active listening skills, and strong customer service orientation
• Capacity to work independently, manage time effectively, and remain composed in fast-paced or sensitive situations
• Knowledge of professional ethics, confidentiality standards, and data privacy practices in interpretation work

Nice to have:

• Relevant certification or training in interpreting or translation
• Experience working with international clients or in a remote, multilingual service environment
