The Forvis Mazars assurance team provides services that go beyond the compliance function. This team brings credibility to our client's financial picture, communicates information objectively and clearly, and provides insight to help clients improve their businesses.
What You Will Do
- Direct audit engagements with strategic oversight, ensuring regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and alignment with client and firm objectives.
- Advise on complex GAAP and regulatory matters, guiding clients through financial reporting challenges and ensuring firm-wide technical excellence.
- Lead technical research and thought leadership, translating complex issues into actionable insights and elevating firm capabilities through publications and training.
- Ensure audit quality through high-level review of workpapers, reinforcing risk awareness, documentation integrity, and professional standards.
- Present to audit committees and boards with clarity and strategic insight, influencing governance and financial decision-making.
- Foster executive client relationships, delivering value-driven solutions and acting as a trusted advisor to C-suite stakeholders.
- Champion client service excellence, embedding a client-first culture and driving long-term partnerships.
- Mentor and lead high-performing teams, supporting talent development, succession planning, and a collaborative firm culture.
- Oversee engagement execution and resource optimization, ensuring timely delivery, profitability, and workflow efficiency.
- Drive firm growth through strategic planning, business development, and market expansion initiatives.
- Represent the firm externally, enhancing visibility and identifying new opportunities through industry engagement.
- Stay ahead of regulatory trends via ongoing CPE and technical development, ensuring firm readiness and innovation.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
- 11+ years or more of relevant audit experience
- Current and valid CPA (Certified Public Accountant) license
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Flexibility to travel for client engagements and internal meetings. Travel may include overnight stays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in related field
- Experience with Caseware software for financial reporting and audit documentation
