Our client National Bank of Pakistan is looking for a Manager Risk Review (AVP) in Karachi

In line with our strategy, the Bank is looking for talented, dedicated and experienced professional(s) for the following position inthe area of Risk Management based in Karachi.
The individuals who fulfill the below basic-eligibility criteria may apply for the following position:
Position / Job Title:
Manager Risk Review (AVP)
Reporting to:
Unit Head - Retail and Program Lending
Educational /Professional Qualification:
- Minimum Graduation or equivalent from a local or international university / college / institute recognized by the HEC of Pakistan
- Candidate having Masters degree and / or any other relevant professional certification(s) will be preferred
Experience:
- Minimum 06 years of relevant experience in Risk Management and / or Process Control and / or Quality Assurance and / or Internal Audit functions within commercial banks
- Candidates with relevant experience in a similar role within commercial banks particularly in large scale banking operations will be preferred
Other Skills / Expertise / Knowledge Required:
- Strong understanding of retail lending products, operational risk and control frameworks
- Good business acumen and process efficiency
- Excellent analytical, process control and design and coordination skills
- Sound knowledge of processing retail, SME, Agri financing and credit operations
- Awareness of SBP Prudential Regulations
- Well conversant with MS Office
Outline of Main Duties / Responsibilities
:
- To perform and supervise periodic reviews of retail and program lending products and strengthen the related risk and control frameworks
- To identify control gaps, operational weaknesses, process deficiencies and compliance risks and recommend appropriate remedial measures
- To coordinate with Business / Product, Operations and Credit Policy teams to ensure end to end alignment with approved policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
- To conduct pre and post implementation reviews of new products, system enhancements and process changes to assess control effectiveness, readiness and compliance
- To support internal and external audit activities, monitor audit observations and facilitate timely and effective closure of identified findings
- To enhance staff awareness through training, process guidance and communication on key control requirements, risk areas and operational procedures
- To monitor the implementation of agreed corrective actions and follow up with relevant stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of identified control gaps
- To perform any other assignment assigned by the supervisor(s)

Employment Type:
