Manager, QA

About This Role

Managing the daily activities of a quality assurance team is the core of this role, ensuring products, materials, components, and operations meet established quality standards. This position involves supervising programs and activities within the quality assurance functions of the organization, with a focus on continuous improvement and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise programs and activities within the quality assurance functions of the organization
• Oversee audit or inspection processes to monitor compliance with established quality standards
• Administer policies and programs ensuring organizational products and processes meet established quality standards
• Participate in the development, implementation, and administration of an organizational quality management system
• Monitor progress against strategic quality-related goals
• Supervise the work of a team of analysts that collect data identifying potential quality failures
• Evaluate quality of raw materials or components, in-progress goods, processes or operations
• Implement and measure the impact of corrective actions
• Solicit internal and external feedback with the goal of continuously improving processes or products
• Lead and direct the work of other employees
• Take responsibility for personnel actions including hiring, performance management, and termination with concurrence from HR and Senior Leadership
• Set priorities for the team to ensure task completion
• Coordinate work activities with other supervisors

Requirements

• Associate's Degree and 5-7 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education and/or Experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Management skills

• Oral and written communication skills
• Ability to build collaborative relationships

• Judgment
